As far as I'm aware, this list is for discussing the singularity,
and related issues. Who wins the election, or the way they go about doing
it, is manifestly nothing to do with AI, or nanotechnology, or anything
else our readership might be interested in, so please don't turn this into
a partisan discussion forum. Personally, I have to agree with Samantha
that your jumping to conclusions about someone based on a sound bite is
not very enlightened.

Everyone: Since this is my first post to this forum, I think it's probably
polite to introduce myself. My name is Daniel Azzopardi, I'm a
postgraduate researcher in high energy physics, working on the BaBar
experiment (link: http://www.slac.stanford.edu/BFROOT) at the Stanford
Linear accelerator. I've lurked on this list for some months - lots of
interesting points. I consider myself a very technically minded person
(otherwise I wouldn't spend my days doing quantum physics and rather
intensive computing).

Cheers,
      Dan
