I don't know how critical this could be, but the fight to prevent
therapeutic cloning from being banned could possibly be a critical landmark
in the question of how technology regulation proceeds in the US and
elsewhere. Even those of you who have mostly given up on politics may wish
to wake up briefly for this one if one of the swing senators lives in your
state.
