Just as a point of information the term "artilect" has been with us for quite
some time as a shortened version of artificial intellect. I believe that it
was initially used by Hugo de Garis in "What if AI Succeeds: The Rise of the
21st Century Artilect", AI Magazine Summer 1989 page 16, and expanded further
by de Garis in "Moral Dilemmas concerning the ultra intelligent machine", Revue
Internationale de Philosopie, Volume 44 1990, page 131. It has been adopted
and used by many others since then.
