Very interesting Robin. Three comments: I do not believe that the S will
look like a S to those living it - things will change faster but observers
will be used to things changing faster. Thinking that the S will eliminate
problems is naive, it is more likely that current problems are replaced by
new problems, that we cannot conceive today. I am puzzled by your stating
that politics irrelevant, and then encouraging readers to support the SI.
This is politics!
Politics in its wider sense will never be irrelevant. Relations with
friendly or unfriendly AI will be one of the political issues of the future.
