Heck, observe the legal harassment currently being inflected on Alcor:

http://www.alcor.org/legislativealert.html

And they're not Transcending people, they're just freezing corpses in hopes
of eventual revivification!!

No one is done any harm if I voluntarily have my corpse frozen -- yet there
are a lot of people dead set on taking away my legal right to do so.
