panksepp and evolutionary psychology

I understand that in sl4 list circles, Evolutionary Psychology is very highly
regarded. Pinker, Cosmides and Tooby, and others figure prominently into many
reading lists. I recently became aware of Jaak Panksepp's criticism of EP,
which you can find here:

So I'm curious whether

1. sl4 folks are familiar with Panksepp, or have even heard of him; and

2. What significance they attach to his criticisms.
