Digressing from Mike's main point to seize on a subpoint:

Even if the Bayesian approach provides optimal answers,
the more stable the environment is, the more a winning
strategy should be biased to use faster, evolved responses
whose results agree with Bayesian reasoning, although
there is no online Bayesian reasoning, and the system
would fail if the environment changed much.
