I'll chip in before this thread is sniped. One can easily learn many elaborate math feats. The book "Mathemagics" is a useful teaching guide. For anyone (including AGI programmers) who uses a lot of math day-to-day, the payoff in time saved vs time to learn the math tricks, is positive. These tricks can also be unlearned if not practised regularly.
