A particularly strange case of a goal goal that many people fairly
frequently form is the desire to find a partner and to fall in love with
that person. "Fall in love with X" suggests "change my goal system to
dramatically increase the value I place on certain characteristics of X and
the value I place on certain activities with X".
Less frequently they set the goal of learning to appreciate some form of
"high art" such as abstract painting, expensive wine, or opera.
