I'm not sure if this topic is SL4, but a good Bayesian cannot avoid noticing
the statistical weighting of Jews and those with recent Jewish ancestry
among leading Singularitarians (and also, of course, in related fields).

The genetic explanation, which indeed seems to be implicit in the question,
has generated buzz recently because of the Cochran article, but one should
avoid too hastily preferring this hypothesis. There are other potential
explanations (see the Wikipedia article (
