After an exhaustive search of what consciousness is NOT, whatever
remains must be what consciousness IS.

I have to agree with Jeff: After a few rounds of "Strawmen, Zombies
and GLUT" the discussion itself begins to resemble "every permutation
of 10k strings" in answer to the question. From this I conclude there
is no consciousness. :)
