Do I understand correctly that one corollary from your position is
that it's impossible to write a program that, starting from being run
on a single PC, proceeds to take over the universe and make paperclips
from it, nothing else (maybe terminating in the end)? Maybe you won't
call it AI, but taking over the universe is no easy thing to do, so
I'd call it intelligence, even thought its values are absurdly alien.
