I knew this work was being done at ATR in Japan a while ago,
but I didn't know it had come so far.
Super-cool!
This architecture does not have the flexibility to implement a complete
mind, in my view. But it can be plugged into a flexible mind architecture
like the Webmind architecture, potentially providing some supercharged
learning
ability in important specialized domains. (For instance, procedure
learning, which
we have found is the most resource-intensive task that we face.)
